Whether through confidential consultations, classroom observations, or departmental workshops, the CTE is available to help instructors explore pedagogical innovations and navigate classroom challenges.

Cohorts, roundtables, reading groups, retreats, workshops: the CTE regularly organizes opportunities for faculty and other instructors to reflect together on their teaching practice. With programs on a variety of topics, and ranging from a single hour to a full academic year, instructors can find the community that best fits their needs.

Our premier annual event—Excellence in Teaching Day—brings together faculty members from across the University with nationally-recognized scholars for substantive dialogue about important issues in teaching and learning.Â

Technology tools
Digital tools can enhance in-person instruction and create opportunities for effective and engaging virtual learning, in and beyond the classroom. The CTE supports a suite of instructional technologies including a learning management system (Canvas), and tools for virtual communication, recording lectures and tutorials, polling, and student collaboration.

Graduate Student Programs
The CTE offers robust programs and services to prepare ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ graduate students and postdoctoral fellows for future teaching roles in higher education and to support graduate student teaching at ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ.
